I'm a new user of GRLevel3 version 1.52. When I use Web Publishing, I will get the latest image on my site when it's first turned on, but it won't update after that. Any help?

First things first....

Then, make sure you have the proper permissions established on your server (644).

OK. 1.60 uploaded. All GRLevel3 connections that I can see are unblocked, unless there's something different for ftp. As I mentioned, when I first start the GRLevel3 program, it will upload to my site. After that it doesn't.

Are you trying to upload a sequence, or just a single pic?
Might help if you can attach a screen capture of your Web Publishing settings on GR3. Make sure you white-out or cover your ftp / password info.

GRLevel3 is uploading an image to my "radar" directory. The image file when uploaded is "khtx_br1.png". So I write html <img src="http://martybroman.com/radar/khtx_br1.png"> and insert it in my webpage. The first image after turning on the radar will appear. It just doesn't update after that. It doesn't overwrite the older image, which I thought it would.

khtx_br0.png is the one you want
GR will append the file names,
0 will become 1, 1 will become 2.. so on

Only if you want to do a loop.

As I stated above. Only if you are planning to run a loop via additional code.
If you are just uploading the latest pic available, then no, you keep it as you had it.

With the knowledge that GR3 will only upload after a new radar scan has completed, are you getting normal updates on your GR3? Does the countdown clock in the lower right corner turn red and stay red or does it countdown to 0 then recycle when a new scan comes across?

The radar itself is working fine as far as polling, etc. I just got in my subdirectory on my website and found the last radar image which is now two or three hours old. So, I closed the radar program and re-started it and the web publishing. As soon as the radar updated the first time it uploaded a fresh image. But that's the last one I'll probably get until I close it and open it again. Anyway, thanks for all your help. I'll keep trying to figure it out.

Do you use a screen saver? If so, at what time delay do you have it begin?

The screen saver initiating has been known to interfere with the ftp process.

No screensaver. You gave me an idea though. I have multi-monitors (two) from one computer. The add-on monitor is where GRL3 is displayed. I'll try dragging the radar to the main computer monitor and see if it updates.

Problem solved. I simply wrote a script to force the refresh of the image. Thanks to all for your help.

huh ??
you mean to tell me all this time you have just been sitting on the
same page waiting for the image to change ???
dude.. that what the refresh/reload button is for
just sitting on the page/image is not going to get you the new image..
